Notice of Expansion and Startup of Solar Power Generation Facilities

As part of its environmental initiatives, we have added solar panels to the roof of Tsuiji Plant to reduce CO₂ emissions, which began operation on February 1, 2022. The new addition of the solar panels will utilize the entire rooftop of the Tsuiji Plant, with 1,936 solar panels installed, bringing the total generating capacity to 826kW with the existing panels. The annual power generation capacity will be approximately 818MWh, in which 10.8% of the electricity used at the Tsuiji Factory will be converted to renewable energy, resulting in an estimated annual reduction of 355 tons of CO₂ emissions. We will continue our efforts to expand the use of renewable energy and other environmentally friendly initiatives.
